Truck Engulfed in Fire on Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line

Japan: A truck caught fire on the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line on Wednesday.

Visuals from the scene show the truck ablaze, with thick smoke filling the tunnels. Both inbound and outbound lanes have been closed until further notice.

The Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line is an expressway that combines a bridge and a tunnel across Tokyo Bay. It connects Kawasaki in Kanagawa Prefecture with Kisarazu in Chiba Prefecture and forms part of National Route 409.

The cause of the fire and casualties remains unknown.
