Boris Johnson on virus testing, Brexit changes

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced new coronavirus retrictions Wednesday after a sharp rise in new cases of the virus.

Addressing parliament, he said gatherings of more than six people in England would be banned from next Monday, adding that failure to follow government guidance had been responsible for the spike.

Opposition leader Keir Starmer accused the government's Test and Trace programme of falling short, and failing people who needed to be tested for the virus.
