British paedophile and serial sex offender Richard Huckle was reportedly stabbed to death in prison on October 13. Huckle was handed 22 life sentences in 2016 for raping up to 200 babies and children in Malaysia. Reports cited that Richard's body was found dead in his cell at Full Sutton prison in Yorkshire on Sunday. Also known as the "gap year paedophile", Huckle was from Ashford in Kent who worked as a freelance photographer. He was convicted for an unprecedented number of offences against children aged between six months and 12 years from 2006 to 2014.

Prison Service spokesman confirmed his death, while a Humberside Police spokeswoman said an investigation has been launched.

Huckle sold explicit images on the dark web

As per Police reports, Huckle with his monstrous motives used religion and an English teaching qualification to gain access to children in an impoverished community in Malaysia where he raped babies, toddlers, and children - some over a seven-year period. Piling up his misdeeds, Huckle also shared the pictures and videos of his rapes and assaults with paedophiles worldwide on the dark web. These images reportedly earned him money through crowdfunding. His arrest reportedly took place when he was working on a guide to help paedophiles abuse children and getaway with the crime.

Evidence found during the investigation

About twenty-three children from poor Christian communities in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur were identified though Huckle admitted that there was much more. Investigations revealed that he first visited Malaysia on a teaching gap year when he was 19. National Crime Agency officials were tipped off by Australian authorities as he arrived at Gatwick Airport on his way to spend Christmas with his family in 2014. And that's how they caught him. About 20,000 indecent images of children were recovered from his computer. He reportedly also had a Pedopoints ledger.
