Kate Middleton's brother James Middleton recently announced his engagement with girlfriend Alizee Thevenet. He posted pictures on Instagram on Sunday mentioning his proposal to Alizee.

The newly engaged couple make it public on Instagram

The newly engaged couple made their relationship public this summer and attended Wimbledon with the Middleton family. According to sources, the couple got engaged and Alizee has been wearing a beautiful sapphire sparkler. On Sunday, the 32-year-old James shared a snap on Instagram that shows the couple beaming with a smile and Alizee showing off her sapphire sparkler.

"She said OUI," James captioned the picture. "Our secret is out but we couldn't be happier to share the news." He also shared a slideshow of photos of them together on his Instagram story to the song 'Sexy Weekender' by Scoundrel.

Instagram users from across the globe showered their love and blessings to the newly engaged couple. One user wrote, "This picture is pure love and happiness. Wish you all the best." Another user wrote, "Many congratulations😍! What a joy to find each other's half 👏 blessed."

Earlier this year, James wrote an op-ed for a global publication, detailing his experience of living with depression. He explained how he suffered from chronic depression due to dyslexia, and that even today both letters and numbers still jump and blur on the page in front of him. He added that some days he has difficulty spelling even the simplest words. He also revealed that he was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) that all the quirks and foibles of his character started to make sense. 

James was first noticed after the Royal Wedding in 2011, but he stayed out of the public eye until earlier this year, when he took his Instagram off private, introduced royal lurkers to his five dogs.
