Plenty of Londoners were out enjoying the sunshine on Sunday despite government pleas to stay home.

In Hackney Downs, many people, both alone and in groups, were seen sunbathing and exercising in the east London park.

The UK government has said people should not leave their homes unless their work requires them to, to shop for essential supplies such as food, to exercise once a day, or for health reasons.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock on Friday said: "This is not advice, these are instructions."

As of Sunday, the UK had reported 48,406 virus cases, including 4,943 deaths.
