New portrait of UK Queen released for platinum jubilee
The monarch sits in a cushioned window chair and in the background are the Castle's Round Tower, and the statue of King Charles II which stands in the Quadrangle of the Castle.

The official platinum jubilee portrait of The Queen was unveiled Wednesday.
The portrait, by Ranald Mackechnie, was taken in the Victoria Vestibule at Windsor Castle on 25th May 2022.
The monarch sits in a cushioned window chair and in the background are the Castle's Round Tower, and the statue of King Charles II which stands in the Quadrangle of the Castle.
In a special message released as millions in the UK prepare for four days of tributes and street parties celebrating her 70 years on the throne, the Queen said "many happy memories" would be formed during the festivities.
