Britain's Queen Elizabeth II attended mass on Sunday, a day after Buckingham Palace announced details of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' official separation from the royal family.

The queen arrived at the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Hillington, close to her Sandringham estate in Norfolk, accompanied by her son, Prince Andrew.

As part of the split, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, will no longer use the titles "royal highness" or receive public funds for their work under a deal that lets them step aside as working royals.

Although the couple will no longer use the royal titles, they will retain them, leaving the possibility that they might change their minds and return sometime in the future.
