A UK minister on Monday demanded that British-Iranian woman Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and other dual nationals be freed from an Iranian jail, following reports of a 400 million-pound ($552 million) British debt release deal.

Foreign Office minister James Cleverly said incarcerated dual nationals in Iran should not be used as political leverage and must be treated separately from British deals with Tehran.

Speaking on Sky News, the minister also defended delays on guidance for British citizens on international travel  - expected on May 1 - saying more time was needed to analyse data on lifting restrictions.
