UK MP fearmongers over fake lynchistan narrative, writes claiming 'violent attacks against Muslims in India'

Amidst anti-mob lynching protests leading to violence in Ranchi, reports have emerged on Tuesday that Jonathan Ashworth -Leceister South MP in UK, has written to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office stating some of his Muslim constituents have complained about violent attacks on Muslims in India adding that they believe the Indian government is not doing enough.

In the letter, accessed by Republic TV, Ashworth claims that the situation in India is worrisome as it is religiously motivated.

"The situation in India is extremely worrying, there have been reports of religiously motivated killings, assaults, riots, discrimination, vandalism and actions restricting the right of individuals to practise their religious beliefs. My constituents are concerned that the Indian government is not doing enough," he states in his letter.

Earlier in the day, Republic TV accessed visuals of a mob protesting against the lynching of 22-year-old Tabrez Ansari unleashed violence in Jharkhand's Ranchi on Friday.
The mob pelted stones at the bus carrying 50 students and even attempted to flame the vehicle. A person was even stabbed during the violent incident. However, senior citizens from the mob pacified the situation and eventually let the bus move from there.

Similarly, on Friday, clashes broke out in Nanpura located in Gujarat's Surat between protestors and the police. Four policemen have been severely injured in the clashes and one has sustained minor injuries. A total of 12 people have been injured in the incident.

Over 1,000 people had gathered to silent protest against the incidents of mob lynching in the country. But the police had not given them permission to carry out the protest as the number of people participating was too large. Due to this, the protest turned violent with the mob pelting stones at the police.

Meanwhile, anti-mob lynching protests took a global scale when a banner was flown over the Headingley stadium during the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka on Saturday. Midway into India's run chase, an aircraft was seen with a banner - ''Help End Mob Lynching''.
