UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson praised Britain's booster jab production rate Tuesday but implored the almost 9 million eligible people who haven't yet had their third jab to do so.

Speaking at a COVID-19 response briefing, Johnson also said there were no further living restrictions planned in the UK but that conditions and infection rates would continue to be closely monitored.

Britain's Chief Scientific Advisor Sir Patrick Vallance, who was also present, did say that he expected "more hospitalisations" and "some fatalities" due to omicron but that they were now looking to see when the wave would peak and start to decrease.
