UK's Prince Harry joins anti-poaching patrol in Malawi national park

The Duke of Sussex appealed for increased global efforts in order to secure the environment against human greed, apathy, and selfishness during his visit to the national park in Malawi on September 30. Prince Harry also joined an anti-poaching patrol with the rangers in Liwonde National Park to highlight the battle against poachers whose activities that endanger the survival of elephants, rhinos and other species. He also met with Peter Mutharika, the President and also visited a college to meet young women who have the support of The Queen's Commonwealth Trust for their education.

The grandson of Queen Elizabeth is also pencilled-in to guest-edit the National Geographic magazine's Instagram account to encourage people globally to understand the importance of trees for the ecosystem. While talking to an international media, Prince Harry said that conservation used to be an area of specialists, which was driven by science. In order to make fundamental progress, according to the Duke of Sussex, it is fundamental to overcome greed and selfishness. 

Unmanageable problems

Prince Harry also believes that in order to survive, humans can not afford to have a mentality of 'them or us'. The habitats of both humans and animals shall fundamentally need to exist together or within the next 10 years, the problems that are being faced by humanity will become more severe and unmanageable. The Duke of Sussex while talking to international media also revealed his driving force to do work is the desire to help and restore the balance between humans and nature.

'Looking Up' Campaign

For the 'Looking Up' campaign, Prince Harry will post pictures essentially taken by the photographers of National Geographic's photographers also including the Malawi park which is currently being visited by the Duke of Sussex to spread awareness of the prominent role played by trees. By the end of the day, some pictures will also be posted on the official account of Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Instagram. Under the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy, the Duke of Sussex has also launched many projects involving drives of planting millions of trees and help the dozens of Commonwealth countries to tackle the climate emergency.

Remaining royal tour

Prince Harry arrived at Malawi on September 29 during his royal tour in Africa accompanied by the Duchess of Sussex along with their baby, Archie. After the royal family paying visits together, the Duke traveled to Bostwana, Angola, and Malawi alone. The further plans include the visit of Prince Harry to the memorial site for British soldier Guardsman Mathew Talbot who lost his life while taking part in counter-poaching operations. Tomorrow, he will also visit the health center, pharmacy, and youth reproductive health outreach program in Malawi.
