Harry and Meghan Markle in London for final royal duties

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex both attended the Endeavour Fund Awards in Central London on Thursday evening, marking their first official engagement since deciding to step down from royal duties.

The event celebrates the achievements of injured servicemen and women who have taken part in sporting and adventure challenges.

One recipient visibly moved the audience when he proposed to his girlfriend onstage.

Both the Duke and Duchess spoke and presented awards with Harry choosing to focus a part of his speech on the merits of service.

In the coming days the royal couple will officially end their fulltime working commitment with the British royal family, the House of Windsor.
