Hundreds of protesters joined a Black Lives Matter demonstration in London on Sunday after a week of protests in the US sparked by the death of George Floyd.
The crowd gathered in Trafalgar Square with banners and signs and chanted Floyd's name, referring to the black man who died Monday after an arresting officer in Minneapolis pushed his knee into Floyd’s neck while he was on the ground handcuffed.
The crowd in London then set off on a march past the Houses of Parliament.
Floyd's death ignited escalating unrest across the US, which continued for the fifth consecutive night from Saturday night into Sunday morning.
