Brussels — The United Kingdom delivered its "instrument to ratify the EU Withdrawal Agreement" to the European Council in Brussels on Wednesday.
The UK's Ambassador to the EU Sir Tim Barrow was seen carrying a black briefcase with the British Royal Coat of Arms emblem on it as he entered the building.
Barrow handed over the document to the European Council Secretary General Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen.
This is the final Brexit step on the UK's side.

Later on Wednesday, European Parliament will vote on the ratification of the UK Withdrawal agreement.
