The O'Hare airport in Chicago, Illinois, was witness to an incident on its tarmac that has since gone viral on social media platforms such as Twitter. An unusual scenario which was captured on video showcases an unmanned and an out of control cart going haywire on the tarmac next to an unmanned plane.
The bizarre video taken by Kevin Klauer, CEO, of American Osteopathic Association, has garnered over 5 million views and it shows an unmanned catering cart going in circles alongside dropping out beverage cans and other items stocked up in its compartment. At the end of the video, one of the ground workers can be seen going out of the frame with intentions initially unknown but later on he came back into the video with a red-colored vehicle used for lifting in order to stop the out of control cart and he was successful in his endeavor when he rammed the vehicle he was driving into the cart to bring it to a halt.
The video posted by Kevin witnessed a lot of comments pouring in for the grounds worker whose quick thinking stopped the problem that might have injured someone.
One user wanted the employee to be compensated for what he did and stated that the best part of the video was the end that included the worker saving the day.
Best part about that is the guy who saves the Day is the one running from way in the back!! Guy definitely deserves a raise or bonus from saving some series damage to that plane or that thing seriously injuring someone!— Tanner Gronowski (@MOX13) September 30, 2019
Another user had an extremely hilarious take on the entire situation wherein she created a video meme based on Trump, his supporters, his opponents, and the upcoming elections.
The airlines issued a statement thanking their employee for his response to the entire situation that resulted in no damage being caused to the plane or anyone around it.
According to reports, the American airlines stated that the issue was caused due to a jammed accelerator. Although, the incident is being looked into by the concerned authorities to narrow down on the exact reason that led to this bizarre incident.
