Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday said that he wrote in the newspaper USA Today in January that the United States was facing a pandemic, but that President Donald Trump did nothing.
The former Vice President also said that if he will be elected, he will hire an inspector general to determine where the coronavirus aid funds have gone. This follows Trump's firing of Steve Linick as the State Department’s inspector general.
Biden was also asked about Tara Reade, who has claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Biden in the early 1990s. Biden said he did not watch Reade's interview with journalist Megyn Kelly.
He added that "Every woman should be presumed that they were telling the truth," but in the case of Reade, he said, "the truth is this never, ever happened."
