Blinken welcomes head of IOM to Washington

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken welcomed the Director General of the International Organization on Migration to Washington Monday.

António Vitorino heads the IOM, an intergovernmental agency that helps with issues of migration by providing services and advice. It was established in 1951.

Blinken thanked the IOM for all their assistance during the evacuation of Afghanistan. And both Blinken and Vitorino acknowledged there is a lot going on globally for the two delegations to talk about.
