Several US Democratic presidential candidates pitched policies on the campaign trail in Nevada on Sunday with the state's caucuses less than a week away.

Several US Democratic presidential candidates pitched policies on the campaign trail in Nevada on Sunday with the state's caucuses less than a week away.

Candidates including Joe Biden, Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg took part in the Moving America Forward forum at the University of Nevada.

Biden spoke about the need to modernize commercial ports in order to grow American business.

Buttigieg emphazied the need to develop better basic infrastructure in areas such as water and transport.

Klobuchar backed the idea of a two-year budgeting cycle to better review government spending.

Fellow candidate Tom Steyer said if elected, he would declare a "climate emergency" on the first day of his presidency.
