Denture Adventure: US Woman steals and flaunts stolen fake teeth, gets arrested

In a strange bit of news emerging from the US, an Indiana woman was arrested after police received complaints that she had stolen dentures. 

The Jennings County Sheriff Office took top Facebook and posted a picture and said that the victim complained that Joann Childers had stolen her teeth. Here's the Facebook post from July 25 which read:

"On Monday July 22, 2019 Deputy Chris Gholson took a report of stolen dentures from a female in the Country Squire Lakes area. The victim reported that Joann Childers had stolen her teeth and had reportedly been wearing them around. That same morning Deputy Thomas Mellencamp spoke with a Jennings County Probation Officer who had met with Joann and the Probation Officer stated that Joann had worn teeth to her probation meeting that clearly were not hers and that she believed they may be the stolen teeth."

What was even nastier is that Childers was apparently wearing the stolen dentures. This immediately had the attention of the cops after Deputy Thomas Mellencamp was informed by the County's probation officer that the accused was spotted using the dentures during her probation meeting. It emerged that the dentures were not hers. However, the case was filed after the dentures were seen 'in plain view' in the woman's home. Gholson tracked Childers and asked her about the theft. When he spoke to Childers, Golson apparently saw the dentures at her place. 

Reports also stated that the victim's name was embedded on the dentures. Childers is due to face theft charges and the dentures have been recovered, as per the Facebook post. The post also had hashtags like #wheresmyteeth #youcantmakethisup #thatsnasty #whytho #getyourown.
