US President Donald Trump reportedly called the New York Times and Washington Post, "fake media" publications in a television interview with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity on Monday night, on October. In his latest attack on American media, the US President said that he might terminate the aforementioned publications from the White House. He said the media is corrupt clarifying that he didn't mean the entire media but "just a few like NYT and Washington Post".

He further added that there are great journalists, like that of, the show's host. The US President further accused that Pulitzer Prizes are given to the wrong people. He said after the elections when he won, the New York Times had apologized to him yet the attacks on him continue. He considers his case worse than the problems faced by earlier President Abraham Lincoln.

"They give Pulitzer Prizes to people that got it wrong and all these people from the New York Times which is a fake newspaper. We don't even want it in the White House anymore, and we're probably going to terminate that and The Washington Post from the White House, they are fake. Take a look at the New York Times and the kind of reporting they do. They turn out to be all wrong," Trump said in the television interview.

Other details mentioned in the interview

The US President did not provide the details or inference of the termination. It is still unclear if he was removing certain journalists from the two papers or ending their access to the White House. He even addressed the ongoing impeachment proceedings against him and called all the allegations by the whistleblower and democrats to be lies. The President also verbally attacked his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton calling him "crazy" for calling Democrat candidate and Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard a "Russian asset".
