Firefighters battle new wildfires in Cordoba

Firefighters tried to stifle several fire hotspots on Saturday in central Argentina, where continuous flames have devastated several mountain areas in recent months, ravaging some 190,000 hectares.

They fought the fires with the help of several aircraft to try to keep the flames away from the small village of Capilla del Monte, located in the Cordoba province.

Seven other Argentine provinces, most in the north of the country, are also experiencing periodic forest fires.
