Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and Trump personal attorney who has gotten his client into as much trouble as he’s tried to offset, was sharply critical of the Black Lives Matter movement when he spoke to the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.
Giuliani described the recent deaths of three young black people in recent weeks, two people who were killed in New York and one in Kansas City. Giuliani said these killings did not generate outrage the way police-involved shootings had. He added that for Republicans all Black lives matter and all lives matter.
Giuliani also said that the protests that followed the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis were a done in an "entirely just cause" and could have led to meaningful police reform, but that left wing groups hijacked the protests and turned them into riots.
