What is UHC 2030?

Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is about ensuring that all individuals and communities have access to the health care they need. UHC does not mean healthcare is free. It means that personal (out-of-pocket) payments do not deter people from using services and that people are protected from "catastrophic health expenditures". The UHC2030, which is hosted by the World Bank Group and the World Health Organization, is the only global health partnership which engages the private-sector in a structured way together with governments, civil society and international organization stakeholders.
