Madame Tussauds New York moved their Larry King wax figure to the front lobby on Wednesday, inviting people to write remembrance notes in tribute to the broadcasting legend who died on last week.

Museum artisans created the wax figure two decades ago, and it appears just as King did in the year 2000.

The lobby is open to the public, and people do not have to purchase tickets to visit the King figure.

It will be on display in the lobby for a week.

Museum curators will then return the figure to its regular place among broadcasters in the museum.

Diago Mogadouro, Madame Tussauds New York Marketing Manager, says the museum will give the condolence book to King's family.

King died at age 87 after a half-century in broadcasting that included interviews with presidents, movie stars and ordinary Joes.

His production company tweeted that he died Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

No cause of death was given, but a spokesperson said early this month that King he had been hospitalized with COVID-19.

The Brooklyn-born King was a fixture on CNN from 1985 through 2010.

He won two Peabody Awards as the host of "Larry King Live" but didn't claim to be an intellectual.

He preferred to ask presidents what they liked about their jobs rather than their foreign policy.

He welcomed everyone from the Dalai Lama to Elizabeth Taylor.
