Netizens unsparing after New York man claims to have 'private-jet' experience in a plane down for maintenance

New York-based filmmaker Vincent Peone claimed that Delta Airlines gave him a private jet experience on his flight from Aspen to Salt Lake City.

New York-based filmmaker Vincent Peone claimed that Delta Airlines gave him a private jet experience on his flight from Aspen to Salt Lake City. 

However, Delta later revealed that Peone boarded a flight that never took off. Taking to Twitter, Peone first recorded a video and uploaded it on Twitter. The visuals in the video show Peone being led to an aircraft by an air hostess. The plane has no one on board, except the crew and himself. The cabin crew also goes on to carry out the standard procedure before take-off like announcing the rules, the perks Peone is entitled to during his flying hours and so on. Watch the video here:

The video soon went viral and Delta responded in return by saying:

However, the airline in a statement said that the plane did not take off and was down for maintenance. They said that the aircraft took off after maintenance but without anyone onboard. Following Delta's response, Peone took to Twitter again and said:

“The story took off fast, but the plane didn’t.”

The video uploaded by Peone has gone viral ever since he uploaded it. Meanwhile, others slammed him and cited it as a publicity stint. Read some of the comments here:
