NY protester speaks out during arrest

The protests were sparked by George Floyd's death on May 25 in Minneapolis after a white police officer pressed a knee into Floyd’s neck while he was handcuffed and saying he couldn't breathe.

Demonstrators on Friday night again remained on New York City streets hours after the curfew, with police generally allowing them. Crowds dwindled on their own at various locations, though officers in Brooklyn made at least a dozen orderly arrests while dispersing one group.

The protests were sparked by George Floyd's death on May 25 in Minneapolis after a white police officer pressed a knee into Floyd’s neck while he was handcuffed and saying he couldn't breathe.
