Statewide, six more people died and around 100 more tested positive for coronavirus, according to statistics published by state health officials Saturday.

The new figures bring the state’s total number of people in the state who have COVID-19 to around 1,900 and the number of deaths to 94.

Gov. Kevin Stitt said at a news conference Friday the state has enough available hospital beds, intensive-care unit beds and ventilators to handle even the worst-case predictions for a surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations.
