Using a smoke bomb and a handgun, a hooded former Marine dressed in all black opened fire during college night at a country music bar in Southern California, killing 12 people and sending hundreds fleeing in panic before apparently taking his own life. Hollywood celebrity Kim Kardashian, who shared images from the horrific incident on her Instagram story, was forced to grab much of what she could in an hour and flee her home.
Now Priyanka Chopra has taken to her Twitter account to voice her opinion on the incident. "At a loss for words...yet another day of grief. Time to double up our thoughts and prayers with necessary ACTION!!! My heart goes out to the victims and their families of the horrific shooting at #ThousandOaks," she said. PeeCee is amongst the many celebrities including LeBron James, Britney Spears, Ellen DeGeneres and others who have reacted to the Thousand Oaks shooting.
It was the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. since 17 students and teachers were killed at a Parkland, Florida, high school nine months ago. It also came less than two weeks after a gunman massacred 11 people at a synagogue in Pittsburgh. That, in turn, closely followed the series of pipe bombs mailed to critics of President Donald Trump, according to AFP.
