The New York City borough of Queens has been hit hard by coronavirus with residents struggling to balance the stay-at-home orders with the economic reality of the pandemic.

Pharmacy worker Brian Navarrete says he's running the risk of infecting everyone in his home by returning to work each day. "This is the only source of income for now," he said.

Joshua Munoz says the economic situation in the borough is different from Manhattan, where most people commute to work. "We have more local residents, more people that live here. In Manhattan you're just here to work for most of the time."

Street vendors like Bibi Carre, who is selling face masks instead of her usual earrings, says she's struggling to make ends meet. "This Tuesday I need to pay $300 for my credit card. Who will give me the money?." Carre said.
