US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday said the US was "unequivocal" in its support for the Good Friday Agreement, which formalized power-sharing arrangements between unionists and nationalists in Northern Ireland.

Speaking at a joint news conference in London with UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, Blinken said the agreement was a "historic achievement" which the US would continue to protect.

On Afghanistan, Blinken said the US was withdrawing its troops from the country but not disengaging with it.
