Radio host Craig Silverman, from a conservative radio station in the city of Denver, said that he was fired from his job after he criticized Donald Trump during his talk show Saturday Morning. According to reports, Silverman was playing bits and pieces of an interview dating back to 2015 with one of Trump's trusted officials Roger Stone when concerned authorities from 710 KNUS (news/talk radio station) stopped the playing of the interview and immediately shifted to showcasing network news. Also, Stone was pronounced guilty of tampering witness evidence and lying to the Congress in relation to the probe of Russian interference with the 2016 Presidential elections.

'Fired for criticizing Trump'

In a video, Silverman was seen telling Roger Stone that he was not happy with the relationship that Donald Trump shared with his former attorney Roy Cohn, who was considered to be an unethical power broker.

According to reports, the host stated that the director of his Saturday program abruptly came into the studio and told him that he was fired. Silverman further added that during the last hour of this show he berated Trump and said that the Democrats were making a very strong case against the American President in the impeachment inquiry related to him.

After he was fired, Silverman said that he pointed out things right when he saw them in his response to a tweet that talked about the corrupt practices of Trump and his administration.

Silverman's firing came in at the end of a week filled with hearings related to Donald Trump's impeachment case during which Trump supporters were seen defending him against the accusations that he had taken undue advantage of his Presidential powers to pressurize Kyiv in launching an investigation in a corruption case against former Vice President Joe Biden.

Silverman did not attempt to hide his views

During his shows, Silverman did not attempt to hide his views about Trump and the ongoing impeachment inquiry over the past few weeks. In his show on November 2, he talked about how he was booed and was subject to chants "lock him up" when he attended a game of the World Series in the capital city of Washington.

Craig started his show on KNUS in the year 2014 after having spent 10 years with Clear channel where he was a co-host in a political talk show. A former chief deputy district attorney in Denver, Silverman called himself a person with conservative and liberal views and in an interview, he was asked whether he was surprised that KNUS had hired him despite his views to which he replied that he was not as he had liberal and libertarian viewpoints.
