A chilling security video of last month's deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, was a key exhibit on Wednesday in former US President Donald Trump's impeachment proceedings. Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah saw himself in the footage, dashing down a hallway to avoid the mob. Romney said he hadn't realized that officer Eugene Goodman, who has been praised as a hero for luring rioters away from the Senate doors, had been the one to direct him to safety.

“That was overwhelmingly distressing and emotional,” he said, adding that he looks forward to thanking officer Goodman the next time he sees him. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts said the House managers made a powerful case about the threat that former President Donald Trump poses to democracy in the United States, and called Trump's Republican supporters his "enablers."
