Southern California mountain wildfire grows

In Southern California, fires burned in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. People in foothill communities east of Los Angeles were warned to be ready to flee, but the region's notorious Santa Ana winds were weaker than predicted.

In Southern California, fires burned in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. People in foothill communities east of Los Angeles were warned to be ready to flee, but the region's notorious Santa Ana winds were weaker than predicted.

One large wildfire was burning near Big Bear, in the mountainous  San Bernardino National Forest.

According to KABC television, evacuations have been ordered for are area residents.  The station says  the fire has burned nearly 11,500 acres and is 19% contained as of Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities believe the fire was started by pyrotechnics at a couple's gender reveal party.
