Donald Trump Jr on Thursday said the Trump campaign will fight "to the death" to ensure "full transparency" as US President Donald Trump and his closest allies continued to cast doubt on the election without evidence.

Speaking in Georgia with votes still being counted in the state and a number of other key battlegrounds, the president's son said he had "lost all faith" in the process.

Trump Jr's remarks followed his father's comments earlier where the president continued to claim that Democrats were trying to commit "fraud".

The president did not back up his claim with any facts or details.

State and federal officials have not reported any instances of widespread voter fraud.

The presidential race has not yet been called because neither Trump nor Democratic nominee Joe Biden has yet collected the requisite 270 Electoral College votes.

Biden's victories in Michigan and Wisconsin have put him in a commanding position to win the presidency, but Trump has showed no sign of giving up.
