US ambassador talks Russia, Iran, China relations

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States ambassador to the United Nations told reporters Monday that the U.S. would live up to President Joe Biden's pledges and engage the world and repairs its alliances.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States ambassador to the United Nations told reporters Monday that the U.S. would live up to President Joe Biden's pledges and engage the world and repairs its alliances.

Thomas-Greenfield's news conference comes as the U.S takes over the presidency of the U.N. Security COuncil for the month of March, but her comments were clearly focused on the U.S relations with China, Russia and Iran

She said The U.S. and China continue to disagree on issues such as human rights but is working with the country in a "cooperative way" on climate change."

On Russian-U.S. relations, she said the two countries are working together along with the Security Council to bring peace, prosperity and security to the world.

Regarding Iran's decision to restrict international inspections of its nuclear facilities, Thomas-Greenfield said the U.S. is looking for opportunities to encourage the Iranians to go back to compliance, and if they make that decision, we are prepared to also rejoin the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA..
