A 10-year-old US boy's message in a bottle gets a reply around 9 years later. His letter was found by a person named G Dubois in France nearly 6,000 miles away.

Almost nine years ago ten-year-old Max Vredenburgh put a note in a bottle and threw it into the ocean from a beach in Rockport. Never did he expect a reply. However, the reply did come, nine years later. Vredenburgh’s bottle travelled all the way from Massachusetts to France and was found by a person named G Dubois who wrote back sharing the exact location where the bottle was found. Reportedly, the letter was found on a beach in France nearly 6,000 miles away.

Alaska man discovers an old message in a bottle
Earlier this year in a similar incident, a man discovered a 50-year-old letter in a bottle from the Russian Navy on the shores of Western Alaska. Tyler Ivanoff reportedly found the handwritten letter while gathering firwood near Shishmaref about 955 km northwest of Anchorage. Ivanoff shared his discovery on Facebook where Russian speakers translated the message to be greeting from a cold war Russian sailor.
