A video of a Wendy's employee taking bath in the kitchen sink went viral shortly after it surfaced online. The video shows the man climbing into an oversize sink as fellow employees shoot the video on their mobile phones. While the video crossed more than 1.2 million views, netizens were not impressed with the idea.

Bubble bath at Wendy's

The video clearly shows the employee stationed himself inside the kitchen sink at Wendy's in one piece of clothing. Other employees from the same food chain, are heard and seen cheering the employee taking bath. One of them even shouts, “show them toes”. When asked how is he feeling while taking the bath, he is heard saying, “it is warm”. Another employee askes him to “wash his armpits” and he can be seen doing the same.

Video triggers outrage

The video triggered massive outrage from people on social media receiving comments like, “that's disgusting”. One internet user also said that she won't be eating at Wendy's anymore. She further added that the board of health should charge the owner. Another Facebook user said that the employees deserve to be fired. Some users shared the video and advised people to eat at home instead of going to Wendy's.

Billy Corben, an American documentary film director also shared this video. 

A Twitter user wrote, "this is where they fix food".

Unacceptable: Wendy's

The owners of the Wendy's in Milton reportedly said that they are taking this incident seriously and it is unacceptable. They also informed that it was supposed to be a prank by an ex-employee who no longer works at Wendy's. They also made it clear that the employee did not make a good judgment. The restaurant authorities are also claiming that they'll take this opportunity to reinforce strict quality procedures with their restaurant team. The restaurant manager was also instructed on sanitation, safety requirements along with the importance of managerial control.
