Shippers DHL and FedEx are prepping their U.S. facilities to receive COVID-19 vaccines expected next month. DHL's facility at O'Hare International Airport is already in use holding and transporting vaccines for flu and malaria.
FedEx has a Cold Chain Center at their world headquarters in Memphis with temperature-controlled rooms, a re-icing station used to maintain a package's temperature, and bluetooth enabled tracking technology that allows for real-time monitoring of critical shipments as they move through the network.
