Vice President Mike Pence touted the Trump administration's foreign policy achievements on Saturday when he addressed a crowd of service members at the Lemoore Naval Air Station in California.

Pence told his audience the administration "has always understood that if you want peace, prepare for war."

"I'm proud to say with just a few days left in this administration, that this is the first administration in decades not to get America into a new war," Pence said.

The vice president was accompanied by his wife, Karen, who will meet with military spouses in a separate event in a hangar at the base.

This was Pence's second visit to the South Valley in the last two years.
