A woman reportedly celebrated her 100th birthday at a supermarket where she works for 20 hours, five days a week checking the dates on products so that costumers get the freshest products. Romay Davis who was a model once and has also served during World War two got a brass band welcomes with music to which she dances before walking under a balloon archways into the store. She arrived at Winn-Dixie supermarket in a glamorous Rolls Royce as her colleagues showered her with confetti.

According to an international media, the mayor of Alabama issued an official proclamation marking her birthday as 'Romay Davis Day'. Her fellow worker gifted her a three-tier cake and a year's free groceries from the store. Davis says she was humbled by the celebrations and thanked the crowds of locals for turning out. Born on October 1919 in Virginia, the 100-year-old was also a fashion designer, painter, real estate agent, a master landscaper and has also earned a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo in her 70's. Her longtime friend further told the international reporters that she has recently also taken up sharpshooting.
