Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg discussed how he would handle misinformation about a coronavirus vaccine, in the event that one is invented.

Mike Allen of Axios on HBO asked Zuckerberg during an interview if Facebook would remove anyone trying to incorrectly tell people that a coronavirus vaccine is not effective.

Allen pointed out that Facebook quickly removed incorrect information about COVID-19, but that the platform has been more reluctant to remove statements from "anti-vaxxers," people who oppose the use of vaccines.

Zuckerberg responded that Facebook works with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization) to remove information about health risks that is clearly incorrect, but that much of the misinformation about vaccines is either exaggerated or expressed out of concern, and that removing it is a much more difficult decision.
