1M masks arrive in US to aid fight against virus

A plane carrying supplies of vital personal protective equipment for health workers battling the coronavirus pandemic arrived in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday.

The private plane belonging to the American football team, the New England Patriots, touched down at Logan International Airport.

It was carrying more than one million masks critical to health care providers fighting to control the spread of the new coronavirus in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island.
