Congratulations Joe, at least, on that! Trump congratulates Biden campaign for joining Truth Social

Ex US President Donald Trump on Saturday, October 22 congratulated Democrat leader Joe Biden for joining his Twitter-like microblogging platform Truth Social. In a post, Trump lauded the Biden campaign team's decision to join Truth Social, adding that it was one of the only things they ‘have done right.’

Trump launched the platform in the wake of the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot that saw him blocked from the site. The former US President had derided the suspension of his account as stifling his First Amendment and right to freedom of expression.

"We are heading to World War III because of grossly incompetent leadership, headed by a President that doesn't have a clue, although he did have the sense to just join TRUTH, the real VOICE OF AMERICA," the former president of the US Trump wrote. "Congratulations Joe, at least, on that!"

Biden campaign seeping into Conservative media spaces?

Biden and Trump are the frontrunners for the upcoming 2024 presidential election and the latter has been outpacing all other Republican candidates in the polls. Biden’s campaign has been making the notable moves to seep into the Conservative media spaces. They reportedly also purchased the ads on Fox News' website and other broadcasters. In just a matter of a few days, the Biden campaign dubbed "Biden-Harris HQ," has raked more followers that the Trump 2024 campaign. Known as "Team Trump,” the former US President’s campaign boasts over 28,900 followers while Biden’s hit 34,800 as of Saturday.

Biden-Harris HQ, the sitting US president's re-election campaign posted its first message on Truth Social: "Well. Let's see how this goes. Converts welcome!"

Director of digital rapid response for Biden-Harris HQ, Parker Butler, wrote in a post on X: "After just two days, the Biden campaign already has more followers than the Trump campaign on Truth Social.” Butler explained Biden campaign’s decision to join Truth Social saying,  "We just joined Truth Social, mostly because we thought it would be very funny.” Biden campaign meanwhile said that they “just joined Truth Social, mostly because we thought it would be very funny. Follow us there for truths and retruths or whatever they call them.”
