Elon Musk, Grimes name their 3rd child Techno Mechanicus. Internet is having a field day

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Canadian musician Grimes have added another member to their family, according to a new biography. Penned by Walter Isaacson, the book claims that the estranged pair have welcomed their third child named Techno Mechanicus, keeping up with family traditions. 

Musk and Grimes are already parents to X Æ A-Xii and Exa Dark Sideræl. The pair split up in September 2021 after a three-year long relationship. “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas, and her work is primarily in L.A. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room," Musk told Page Six at the time.

As per a review recently published in The New York Times ahead of the biography's release, their third child has been given the nickname “Tau.” While details surrounding the infant's birth are yet to be revealed, the news has garnered a string of reactions on social media. 

Mocking the unique names of Musk's children, one user wrote on X: "I know we’re all going to die pretty soon, but the post-apocalyptic mutant wars between X Æ A-12 and Techno Mechanicus Musk is going to be a really exciting time for the few dozen people still alive to witness it."

"techno mechanicus literally sounds like a fancy ripoff of technoblade oh my gosh," wrote another, referring to deceased American YouTuber Alexander, known online as Technoblade. "I was going to say if Elon Musk was my dad and named me Techno Mechanicus i would kill myself but then i realized if he named me Derek or something i would probably still kill myself because my father is Elon Musk," said a third user.

In addition to his three kids with Grimes, the billionaire is also a father to the six children he shares with his former wife Justine Wilson. While the 52-year-old hasn't made an official announcement about his youngest child yet, he shared a cryptic post on X on Sunday that read "Tau Techno Mechanicus Circumference/Diameter".
