Expressing his eagerness to debate with US President Joe Biden, former US President Donald Trump said he is willing to take the debate stage, be it the general presidential debate or the Republican primary debate. The proclamation from the business-mogul-turned politician came after he refused to participate in any of the four Republican primary debates. When it comes to sparring with his fellow Republican rivals, the 77-year-old Politician said that he will be willing to take part in the debate once there is only one challenger left between him and the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

“Yeah, I would, if it’s very close. I would debate that Republican,” told radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt on Friday. “But it’s not close,” he exclaimed. After the fourth Republican debate, the RNC announced that it would not hold any more primary debates. However, the party allowed its candidate to participate in non-sanctioned debates organized by other media outlets. The former US President went on to express his excitement to debate the current US President insisting that he won't worry about what organisation is hosting the debate.

When asked if would debate with Biden in the upcoming presidential debate, the former US President said that he can go head-to-head against Biden no matter which commission is conducting the debate. “Oh will I look forward to that,” Trump exclaimed. “How about 10 debates?” he quipped. However, Trump lambasted the Commission on Presidential Debates and called the commission “totally corrupt”. “They are totally corrupt and they’re terrible. With that being said, I would do 20 debates, even if it was organized by them. I would do as many debates as they want,” he said.  “I’ll do as many debates as they want. I’d do a debate every night with this guy. But he’ll never show up to a debate," he added. The former US President went on to accuse the group of “turning off” his microphone during one of his 2020 debates with Biden.
