New York - After the first batch of court documents revolving around the wrongdoings of late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein stirred a major storm, the second batch of the unsealed documents was released on Thursday. According to NBC News, some of the depositions which were released on Thursday focused on how teen girls were recruited to go to his Florida home and how they were asked to bring their friends for additional payments. US District Judge Loretta Preska who was overseeing the lawsuit filed by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre against his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, ordered the release of these documents in December last year. However, the New York Judge gave Jane and John Does two weeks in case they wanted to appeal on the matter.
The documents unsealed on Thursday, included more mentions of Former US President Bill Clinton. However, Clinton was still not accused of any wrongdoings. Meanwhile, the name of the disgraced Duke of York Prince Andrew appeared in the second batch as well along with a lengthy collection of emails to and from Giuffre, and more. The documents revealed that Former Palm Beach police Det. Joseph Recarey, who is now deceased, said in 2016 that Ghislaine Maxwell was involved in seeking girls to give massages and work at Epstein’s home. According to one of the transcripts, Recarey said he interviewed around 33 women and noted that most of the girls were younger than 18 when they were taken to Epstein's house. "Each of the victims that went to the home was asked to bring their friends to the home. Some complied and some didn’t," Recarey said.
The disclosure was part of a settled lawsuit first filed in 2015 against British socialite and Epstein confidant Maxwell by Virginia Roberts Giuffre. In the lawsuit, Giuffre said that she was a victim of sex trafficking and abuse when she was a teenager in the early 2000s. It is important to note that Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for enabling the heinous crimes of Epstein.
No third parties implicated
According to NBC News, most of the contents of the documents which were released on Thursday stated information which was already well-known and did not implicate new third parties. The overall documents including the material yet to be unsealed are expected to include nearly 200 names, including some of Epstein’s accusers, prominent businesspeople, politicians and potentially more. However, being named in the unsealed documents does not necessarily mean someone was accused of or committed wrongdoing. For Example, Former US President Donald Trump was also mentioned in the docs multiple times but the business-mogul-turned-politician was not accused of wrongdoings by any of the victims as of now.

One of the documents that included portions of the deposition of an unidentified minor victim highlighted how Epstein summoned the minor to his bedroom and "something horrible happened." "I don't recall exactly how I was propositioned to get there," she said. "I just was there, and all of a sudden something horrible happened to me." The victim mentioned that she was between 15 and 17 years old when the incident took place. Thursday filings also included Giuffre's witness list which sought over 90 people to testify in the case. The witness list included Epstein, Maxwell, Clinton, and a number of Epstein's other victims and employees.
