New York has reported promising news in the fight against COVID-19. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said hospitalizations and intubations of patients are down and the death toll overnight was 73.

Meanwhile the mid-Hudson region of the state began the reopening process, one Cuomo said would be "gauged by the numbers."

The governor said he anticipates the "possibility of a second wave" in the fall and said the reopening plan will be closely based on hospital capacity.

Coumo also expressed concern that the state will not have full testing capacity for seasonal flu in the fall. "Right now, we're using basically all our testing capacity to do the COVID tests."
