Small George Floyd protest at Istanbul's US consulate

A small group of demonstrators gathered in Istanbul on Thursday to denounce police violence and to stand in solidarity with protesters in the United States. About two dozen people marched toward the US consulate in Istanbul and chanted "Damn American imperialism". Some of the demonstrators carried pictures of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man who died last week in Minneapolis after a white police officer pressed his knee onto his neck. His death sparked protests that spread across America and beyond.
