The patient then explained to the doctor that he often drinks somewhere around eight to ten cans of 473ml energy drinks each and every day which is directly equivalent to around four litres. According to the reports, the patient denied any drug consumption and admitted smoking a packet of 20 cigarettes a day frequently for the last two years. The report said that consumption of energy drinks is a growing health concern due to its frequent availability, limited regulation and increasing use, especially among the younger generations. It substantially contains higher caffeine content as compared to soft drinks or coffee beverages. The study shows that there is a significant risk of harm if it consumed in large quantities.
