US Acting Defence secretary Christopher Miller at Indonesia defense HQ

US acting defence secretary Christopher Miller visited Indonesian armed forces headquarters in Jakarta on Monday.

He was greeted by senior officials as he arrived for a meeting with the country's military leadership.

Miller is in Indonesia as part of a tour of Southeast Asia.

He's also due to visit the Philippines and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Headquarters.

From there he is set to take part in a virtual meeting of defence ministers from the ASEAN regional bloc of Southeast Asian countries.
